What is MIPS helmet technology ?

MIPS (Multi-directional Impact Protection System) is a pioneering slip-plane technology inside the helmet that reduces rotational forces caused by certain hits. Leading brain surgeons and scientists developed MIPS to decrease the rotational stresses on the brain generated by angled head traumas.

A MIPS-equipped helmet appears almost identical to a non-MIPS helmet on the outside, but there is a thin yellow lining beneath the pads on the inside.  When you wear a MIPS-equipped helmet, you won't even notice the difference.
